Questions to ask at the end of an interview

A good question about the first three months says a lot about you.

The end of an interview is not a formality. “Do you have any questions?” is your chance to learn whether the job fits you and to show you have thought about it seriously.

Questions about the work

“What does a typical day look like in this role?” and “What would I need to deliver in the first three months for this to be a success?” reveal the real expectations behind the written description.

Questions about the team

Ask about team size, who you would work with daily, and how decisions are made. For remote roles, ask about required overlap hours and the team’s time zone.

The closing question

“Is there anything that makes you hesitate about my application that I could clarify now?” is bold, but it gives you a chance to correct an impression before the feedback is written.
